After setting up Diigo I can see why Eric was giving it high endorsement. It's such a time saver. Using it will eliminate frustrations the students usually encounter when they do research study and the following day they attempt to locate the site again.
They will first use Diigo library for their planned Social Studies project.
That is a good point. I often find that my students will find a great site with tons of relevant information about their topic, but when they try to locate the site the next day, they can't. This creates frustration for them. Not only will Diigo be help to save sites and information they find while researching a topic, but it will save on the amount of articles they print on their topic.
ReplyDeleteIta, I just set up Diigo and I agree with you and Eric about its use for research with our students. I wish I had this type of technology growing up! Gone are the days of pencils and paper notes.
ReplyDeleteI never thought about having students use it! I was thinking about what a great tool this could have been to use in college. But it be a great thing to introduce to students so that they can begin learning how to research.
